I've been a fan of the Great Stompin' Tom Connors all my life, and I've dreamed about painting him for many years. Before we lost Tom in March 2013 he said,
"... I must now pass the torch, to all of you, to help keep the Maple Leaf flying high, and be the Patriot Canada needs now and in the future. I humbly thank you all, one last time, for allowing me in your homes, I hope I continue to bring a little bit of cheer into your lives from the work I have done." 

Like many Canadians, I carry that torch. I'll help keep that Maple Leaf flying high in his honour, forever. I absolutely loved creating this painting, and can assure you,
Stompin' Tom has, and will always bring a ton of cheer into my home, and heart.
